LIFE Act
The Legal Immigration Family Equity Act (LIFE Act) of 2000, was created to reunite lawful permanent resident families, where some of the members were outside the U.S. with very long waiting periods to unite. This nonimmigrant visa is available in three sub categories V-visa.
Because priority dates for overseas family members have been now fulfilled no U.S. Embassy or Consulate has issued a V-visa for many years. We expect this visa category will soon be abolished.
